Newcastle centre to open earlier than planned

Thanks to very generous donations from David Riddell Memorial CIO and Oil Brokerage we are now in a position to accelerate our plans to open a James’ Place centre in the North East of England. We have identified a building in Newcastle that we feel will provide a safe and welcoming environment to the men who use the service and are working hard to open our new centre by early 2024. We are in the process of finalising plans for the space and will be able to share further details soon!

We continue to develop our networks in the North East and map out referral pathways across NHS services, voluntary organisations and universities so that when we launch the centre, we will be able to reach the men who need us immediately. We have received an overwhelmingly positive response from local practitioners who express great enthusiasm for a James’ Place in the North East.
